Dr. Reitav has been practicing Clinical and Health Psychology for over 30 years, with a practice focused on Behavioral Sleep Medicine. He has been the Psychologist for the UHN-TRI Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation Program for over ten years. In 2009, he introduced clinical evaluation of sleep problems into the revised Canadian Guidelines for Cardiovascular Rehabilitation. These were the first Clinical Guidelines internationally to establish routine assessment of sleep problems as best practice for managing the recovery of Cardiac Rehab patients. Dr. Reitav’s clinical and research focus has been the management of stress and sleep problems in chronic medical conditions. He has developed A Better You, a neuroscience-based group program that integrates mind-body and sleep medicine treatment approaches.
