April 4, 2018

Halifax (NS) – Health benefits industry leaders and some of North America’s top health experts meet today in Halifax to discuss the impact of emerging trends that may transform the benefits industry and impact the delivery of health services in Canada.

The discussions are part of Benefits3, an annual event hosted by Medavie Blue Cross now in it’s 12th year that will run until mid-day on April 5.

“This is an important opportunity for professionals and thinkers from across our industry and the greater health care landscape to come together to learn about and discuss topics and issues that have the potential to shape the face of health and care in Canada,” said David Adams, Medavie Blue Cross’s Atlantic Canada Market Leader and event host. “Through this event, we will share the latest benefit trends and topics and provide delegates with tools and resources they can apply to their businesses and organizations.”

This year’s event theme, Trends that Transform, highlights how the health benefits industry must acknowledge, address, and embrace the trends that are disrupting health insurance and providing the opportunity for ground-breaking innovation for a healthier future.

Key speakers include Bernard Lord, Medavie CEO; Stan Kutchner, international expert in adolescent mental health; Mark Henick, prominent mental health strategist; and Shawn Kanungo, a leading expert in disruptive innovations.

The event will be held at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel.
