Reminder - Renewal Commissions and NB Agency Licensing Regulations

Note: applicable only to Brokers who do business under a corporation.

As communicated in a previous update., New Brunswick’s Financial and Consumer Services Commission amended its rules (Rule INS-001) around agency licensing for participants in the insurance industry who operate under a corporation.

NB Agency licensing is necessary for us to do business with you and for you to remain eligible for commission payments for New Brunswick-based clients. Therefore, beginning in November, renewal commissions could be held as a result of not having the required licensing.

Once your agency’s updated license has been issued, please forward a copy of the certificate to [email protected] or provide to your assigned Medavie Blue Cross representative.

As a trusted partner, we appreciate your dedication to our mutual clients and your timely attention to this matter.
