Reminder - New Rates Effective January 1, 2025 for Guaranteed Acceptance Plan and Retiree Plan

As announced in previous communications, as of January 1, 2025, the rates for the Guaranteed Acceptance Health Plan have increased in the range of 1.7% to 2.4% and the Retiree Health Plan by 9.4%.

Spotlight on inConfidence

inConfidence is a confidential wellness program that offers support for mental, financial, physical, and emotional wellbeing. The program is included in all individual health plans, including Assured Access, and provides members and their dependents with convenient, round-the-clock access to expert services and online resources to address a variety of work-life issues. With inConfidence, members get the professional advice they need to lead happier, healthier lives, be it answering questions about their retirement, addressing concerns about childcare, or improving their financial literacy. inConfidence provides counselling to help members with life’s challenges or support them with all of their relationships.

What services do members qualify for?

Each year, members are eligible for the following services through InConfidence, at no extra cost:

✔ 5 hours each of individual and couples counselling

✔ 5 hours each of life, health, and career coaching

✔ Access to limited legal and financial information and educational resources

✔ Unlimited 24/7 crisis support

✔ Self-led Internet-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (iCBT)

Members can sign up for services on the Blue Cross Mobile app or the inConfidence website.

Connected Care - Health and Wellness Services

Among the ways we support our members in setting and achieving their wellness goals is through Connected Care. Included in all individual health plans, this digital health and wellness centre connects members to innovative healthcare services at preferred pricing. Connected Care features a comprehensive suite of options, ranging from health assessments and specialized coaching for chronic conditions to therapy for anxiety, depression, and stress. Members can access Connected Care through the Blue Cross Mobile app or Member Services site.

2025 Billing Calendar

We’ve created the Agent Inquiry Health Products Billing Calendar for 2025 to help you serve your clients and includes information about giving appropriate notice for plan change requests.

Member Premium Statements

The start of a new year can bring on an increase in member inquiries about accessing their premium statements. All Medavie Blue Cross members have been sent an email with a reminder on how to access their statements on the Member Services site.
