Today, Medavie Blue Cross hosted the grand opening of Medavie Benefits+ in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. This service model is an industry first and offers current and potential members access to benefits specialists who can support members in their health and wellness journey as they use their benefits.
“As we evolve our business in a digitally focused environment to meet the needs and expectations of our clients, it is important for us to continue to be there for our members in a meaningful way by offering a connection in-person as well. Sometimes personal connection can make all the difference,” Anita Swamy, Senior Vice President Operations, Medavie Blue Cross. “We are excited to welcome Newfoundlanders and Labradorians into our new Medavie Benefits+ location and support local clients in their overall health and wellbeing.”
Medavie Benefits+ is an inclusive space where individuals can come in to sit down with our team of benefits specialists to discuss and explore their health insurance needs and learn about online self-service options for submitting claims or accessing connected care service providers.

The St. John’s location is the third Medavie Benefits+ location for Medavie Blue Cross. The St. John’s location joins Medavie Benefits+ Halifax and Moncton.
