Toronto, Ontario – Medavie Blue Cross is pleased to announce Marc Avaria has been appointed to the role of Vice President, Product and Disability Management. He joined the organization in 2016 as Vice President, Group Life and Disability Management.
Marc will lead development of new and innovative products for our Group and Individual business lines, including a focus on digital options and pharmacy benefit management functions, in addition to continuing to advance our disability management offering. He will lead development of partnerships with our clients and provider networks and enhance Medavie Blue Cross’ position as a leader in drug plan management.
A seasoned group benefits professional, Marc brings over 25 years of industry experience to his role. Prior to joining Medavie Blue Cross, he held senior roles in marketing, product, distribution, and life and disability management.
Marc is a graduate of Queen’s University and holds an MBA from the Queen’s School of Business. He will continue to be based in Toronto where he will work closely with our provider networks and product and pharmacy benefit management teams to drive growth initiatives.
